AI for the study of Environmental Risks (AI4ER)

UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training

AI and machine learning are playing an increasingly important role in the modelling of weather, climate and air quality. Climate change has demonstrably affected weather systems as well as air quality, especially in built up areas. Researchers are working on ways to model these changing systems in order to limit the negative effects that come from climate change.

Affiliated Depts and Partners that work in this field include the Yusuf Hamied Dept of Chemistry, Dept of Geography, Dept of Computer Science and Technology, Dept of Architecture, British Antarctic Survey, Cervest, Counteract, Met Office
