AI for the study of Environmental Risks (AI4ER)

UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training

The newly formed Cambridge Centre for Carbon Credits (4C) is funding 2 studentships starting in September 2023 in affiliation with the AI4ER CDT. These studentships are fully funded and will cover home or international tuition fees, research costs and an annual tax-free stipend in line with the UKRI rate for four years full-time (1 yr MRes + 3 yrs PhD).

Successful candidates for 4C studentships will enrol and join the AI4ER CDT programme (1 yr MRes + 3yrs PhD). The projects linked to these studentships will focus on algorithmically quantifying and certifying the carbon offset and biodiversity value of nature-based solutions. Project supervision will be provided by an appropriate cross-cutting supervisory team drawn from members of the 4C. Interested students are encouraged to reach out to 4C faculty to identify potential areas of research overlap.

If you are interested in applying for a 4C studentship, please follow the instructions in the "How to apply" section. On your statement of interest please indicate your intention to apply for a 4C studentship with a short paragraph explaining why you would like to work with 4C.

Shortlisting and interviews will take place shortly after applications close on Thursday 5 January 2023.
